In This Together
Overview
In This Together (ITT) represents a community composed of bipartisan groups and influencers dedicated to addressing climate change by transcending political divides. ITT’s overarching goal is to shatter the echo chambers associated with both Democrats and Republicans, highlighting the shared commitment to environmental progress at their core. This serves as the primary or ‘parent’ brand I currently oversee, with several other sub-brands that I have nurtured and sustained over time. These subsidiary brands cater to distinct audience niches while remaining aligned with the same fundamental mission.
Role: In-house creative director and designer
Scope of Work: Brand strategy, identity, website design, web management, marketing, brand architecture, campaigns, landing pages, email design, conference booths, reports, data visualization
Process Highlights:
- Challenge: ITT’s mission is often misconstrued as being moderate, whereas it actually aims to foster collaboration among organizations situated at the far ends of the U.S. political spectrum.
Solution: The logo I designed visually conveys this by illustrating the overlap of red and blue within the green space, representing a unified conversation. - Challenge: After extensive research, we identified young mothers as the most receptive audience to ITT’s mission, driven by their desire for a better future for their children. The challenge was to create a visual brand that resonated with and appealed to this demographic.
Solution: Drawing inspiration from the Target brand, which projects confidence and leadership, I opted for a visual style characterized by simplicity, bold graphics, and a sense of strength and approachability.
